So Who Am I?

You’re here, so you must be curious.

During a trip all over Europe, I made it my goal to try gelato from every single city I visited. Above, I am in Bordeaux, France enjoying a Kinder Bueno gelato! Délicieux!

The birth certificate says Jessica Oliveira, but she also goes by Jess. She’s 24 years young, but eat sweets like a seven year old. Jessica is 100% Portuguese as both of her parents were immigrants from Portugal, where she also has dual-citizenship.

Jessica received her BA in Communication and Professional Writing from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2013. During college, she not only worked as a waitress for a 5 star resort, but Jessica also held various internships, including a Reporter/Producer at Ch.18’s Inside Santa Barbara and as a New Media Reporter for Santa Barbara Seasons Magazine. Jessica was also actively involved with school organization such as the Lambda Pi Eta honors society, as a research assistant and was a founder of All Booked Up.

Upon graduating, Jessica moved back to the bay area and became a Social Media Account Manager for PBHS Inc, a dental and medical marketing company. Responsible for handling 50+ client’s social media channels, Jessica also produced bi-weekly blogs, graphics, website updates, and monthly marketing campaigns.

Currently, Jessica is a graduate student at the University of Southern California. In May, 2015, she will receive her Master of Science in Journalism with a focus of multimedia and digital design. After graduation, Jessica hopes to land a job where she is able to incorporate her passion for storytelling, her eye for design, and her enjoyment for web and application development.

In her spare time, Jessica can be found indulging a book from her favorite author, Gillian Flynn, testing a mouthwatering nutella recipe found on Pinterest, or organizing her life beginning with a color-coded planner.

Now that I’ve given up all of my secrets, who are you?
